iLTexas Classroom Observation Opportunities
International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) offers observation opportunities for students enrolled in programs that directly lead to student teaching. To ensure proper placement, only requests from accredited colleges, universities, alternative certification programs, and affiliated program personnel will be accepted.
Observation Time Frame
ILTexas accommodates student observers during the fall and spring semesters. Timely submission within each semester’s deadline is essential for processing requests:
- Spring Semester: Observation requests must be received by March 21st, 2025
- Fall Semester: Observation requests must be received by October 24th, 2025
Observation Guidelines
To ensure smooth processing, please follow these steps:
- Student Observer Request Form: All students or program supervisors must complete this form.
- Contact Information: When completing the application, please designate a single contact person to streamline communication.
Additional Guidelines
- Safety and security purposes: you must sign in at a campus and provide them with an official government photo ID at the front office. You may do this on the day you plan to observe.
- Early Submission: Due to limited availability, early submission of all requests is encouraged to help the district secure placements efficiently. Program coordinators are encouraged to submit requests in batches where possible.
Placement Requests and Process
ILTexas aims to place candidates according to their preferences (teacher, campus, grade level) whenever possible. However, placement is not guaranteed. All communications for requests should be routed through the designated process. Please refrain from contacting principals or teachers directly regarding placements.
