Fine Arts

Fine Arts Department Mission

The ILTexas Fine Arts program inspires students to become creative, disciplined, and globally minded leaders. From kindergarten through twelfth grade, students explore diverse artists, styles, and cultural traditions from around the world while developing skills in collaboration, perseverance, and leadership. At ILTexas, 96% of students participate in Fine Arts, reflecting our commitment to cultivating creative, disciplined, and globally minded leaders.

Students showcase their talents through performance and competition in events such as the ILTexas Fine Arts Contest, VASE, the Houston, Fort Worth, and Brazos Rodeo Art Contests, the Black History Month Art Contest, UIL Solo Contest, UIL Concert and Sightreading, UIL State Solo Contest, TMEA All-Region and All-State, UIL One Act Play, and the North Texas Color Guard Contest. Through these rigorous and enriching experiences, ILTexas Fine Arts students strengthen their mind, body, and character while preparing for higher education and leadership in a diverse, interconnected world.
