Music

ILTexas offers Music for all students in kindergarten through twelfth grades. Students in kindergarten through fifth, enjoy General Music on a six-day rotation. In class, they focus on learning basic music composition and theory and growing an appreciation of both instrumental and vocal music. Beginning in sixth grade, students may specialize in vocal music and/or an instrument of their choice, which they can continue to explore and refine throughout high school. Secondary courses focus on refining skills and techniques, while continuing to gain understanding and appreciation of musical styles around the world. High school students also have the opportunity to take AP Music Theory, possibly earning college credit.
