Art

ILTexas offers Visual Arts for all students in kindergarten through twelfth grades.  Students in kindergarten through fifth, enjoy Art on a six-day rotation.  In class, they focus on learning basic skills and techniques needed to appreciate and complete artistic works in various mediums.  All students are encouraged to explore their artistic voices through projects focused on art styles from around the world.  Secondary courses focus on refining skills and techniques, while continuing to gain understanding and appreciation of more advanced styles and mediums.  High school students also have the opportunity to take AP coursework, possibly earning college credit, and explore Career/Technology courses related to Art, such as Commercial Photography, and Graphic Design.
