Our International Leadership of Texas delegates just returned from an unforgettable experience at NHSMUN 2026 — the International Model United Nations Association's flagship conference in New York City.

Our students stepped onto a world stage and held their own, debating alongside delegations from ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Italy, ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ช Venezuela, ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท Argentina, ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ณ Honduras, ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ Mexico, and delegations from California, Florida, New York, Washington, and beyond.

Highlights included:

→ Attending a keynote address by Vice President Kamala Harris
→ Engaging in international policy discussions with the Permanent Mission of Guyana ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡พ
→ Networking with career diplomats — with confidence, eye contact, and a LinkedIn connection to show for it
→ Experiencing New York City for the very first time — including their first Broadway show.

๐Ÿ† We are especially proud to recognize Victor Ucles & Santino Davalos of Liberty High School, who represented Guyana in the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) and earned the committee's Award of Excellence — the highest honor of the committee. Outstanding work, gentlemen.

This trip was more than travel. It was a defining moment in our students' development as communicators, critical thinkers, and future leaders — of America ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ and our world.

We are incredibly proud of every delegate who represented ILTexas on that stage. โœจ They will change the world. ๐ŸŒŽ
