International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) is proud to recognize Black History Month throughout February. During this time, campuses across the district will honor the history, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans through lessons, activities, and celebrations.

Families are encouraged to look out for information from their campus to learn more about how Black History Month will be recognized locally. Each campus may celebrate in different ways based on grade level and instructional plans.

Black History Month provides an opportunity for scholars to learn, reflect, and celebrate the individuals and stories that have shaped our nation and continue to influence our communities today.
