Four teams of ILTexas students from across the state participated in the 16th Annual DFW Dragon Boat, Kite, and Lantern Festival in Irving this weekend.

 

Our Houston-Gold team took home the first-place trophy after three boat races! 

Hosted by the Marco Polo World Foundation, this yearly event is an incredible opportunity for our students to see Chinese culture put into real-world practice right here in DFW. All ILTexas graduates learn Chinese Mandarin, as well as Spanish, as part of our trilingual learning model.

 

 

We also brought ILTexas Audio/Video Production students to experience first-hand what on site production looks like at an event of this scale. Student producers managed a full production from our trailer, while others captured footage or represented our eagles on camera.
