International Leadership of Texas is proud to join schools across the state in observing Celebrate Freedom Week, Sept. 14–18, 2026. This year’s commemoration holds special meaning as our nation marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Celebrate Freedom Week gives students an opportunity to explore the founding ideas and documents that continue to shape the United States. Throughout the week, ILTexas students will reflect on the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights while considering the freedoms, responsibilities and civic principles they represent.

The week includes Constitution Day on Thursday, Sept. 17, commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution by delegates to the Constitutional Convention on Sept. 17, 1787. The occasion invites students and families to consider how the Constitution established the framework of our government and protects enduring rights and liberties.
Campuses will recognize the week through daily announcements and learning activities centered on America’s 250th anniversary, the Declaration of Independence, Constitution Day and the Bill of Rights. Each day will offer a new topic and question designed to encourage thoughtful discussion among students.
At ILTexas, developing servant leaders includes helping students understand the principles of citizenship, leadership and service. Celebrate Freedom Week connects those lessons to our mission and our commitment to *Others Before Self*.
We invite ILTexas students, staff and families to join us in honoring the sacrifices made in the founding of our country, learning more about our nation’s founding documents and reflecting on the role each of us plays in carrying their ideals forward.
Happy Celebrate Freedom Week, ILTexas!
