ILTexas Hosts Successful Lone Star Model UN Conference
Last weekend, more than 150 participants gathered at our beautiful ILTexas Arlington-Grand Prairie High School campus for the annual Lone Star Model UN Conference. Students from across our DFW campuses, Frisco ISD, Aggieland High School, and Windmill Lakes Orem High School came together to sharpen their diplomacy skills, collaborate with peers, and engage in a weekend of elevated academic discussion.
This year marked a historic milestone for ILTexas: the first Lone Star Model UN Conference staffed entirely by our own students.
Strengthening Future Leaders
At ILTexas, our mission is to prepare students for exceptional leadership roles in the international community. Model UN supports this mission by providing an immersive experience in diplomacy that helps students strengthen their skills in public speaking, research, writing, and resolution building. It is an opportunity that develops confidence, character, and global awareness—qualities that define every ILTexas leader.
Recognizing Our Supporters
We extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors, chaperones, and staff members whose time and encouragement made this event possible. Your commitment to our students’ success continues to make a lasting impact.
Celebrating Our Student Conference Staff
A special congratulations to our dedicated student staff team, who spent months planning and preparing to deliver an enriching and seamless conference experience. Their professionalism, teamwork, and servant leadership embody the ILTexas spirit and remind us what it means to put Others Before Self.
Looking Ahead
The success of the DFW-area Lone Star Model UN Conference is a reflection of our students’ passion for leadership and global engagement. We look forward to continuing this tradition of excellence at the Houston-area conference taking place this weekend.
