Dear IL Texas Community and Staff:
I am writing you regarding the current status of our founder and superintendent, Eddie Conger. Following the District’s summer hiatus, Mr. Conger requested and was granted a leave of absence for personal reasons. The leave of absence is temporary and is effective immediately. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Conger while he is on leave and we look forward to his speedy return.
While I will be serving as the temporary, interim superintendent of the district in Mr. Conger’s absence; our entire leadership team, and specifically our three Area Superintendents, will be taking on many of the Superintendent's responsibilities. Mr. Conger personally expressed his confidence in the ability of this team to manage and lead the district during his absence.
I am confident the ILTexas district leadership team will continue to lead the organization in accomplishing its mission of “preparing our students for exceptional leadership roles in the international community by emphasizing servant leadership, mastering the English, Spanish and Chinese languages, and strengthening the mind, body and character.”
We are excited about the “Back to School” season and know you will be supported in your preparation to welcome new and returning students and staff into the ILTexas community. Our intent remains to fulfill the organization’s mission and continue to improve the lives of our students. Please contact one of our Area Superintendents or myself if you have questions.
Dr. Alan Seay
