ILTexas is thrilled to announce Dr. Dustyn Alexander has been named the Senior Executive Director of Liberty County, effective immediately.
Dr. Alexander has served the students and families of ILTexas for the past five years, most recently as the Special Education Director for the Greater Houston Area. In her new role, she will work to lead and support the growth and continued success of our Liberty County campuses and the community.
Dr. Alexander has more than 20 years of experience in education, and has served students and families in the roles Coach, Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Area-Level Administration. She has also served as a national faculty member in the area of crisis response and served to develop state and national policy on social and emotional learning in schools. She is endorsed to teach conflict resolution, ARD facilitation, CHAMPS, Restorative Discipline, CPI, Mandt, Capturing Kids' Hearts, and Implicit Bias.
Her experience also includes traveling abroad to China, Central America, and Kenya to advise on education of students with disabilities. Finally, she continues her doctoral research on culturally responsive pedagogy and mentors doctoral students across the country.
