April 4, 2025 - Garland, Texas — Students across Texas tuned in on Friday morning for an inspiring conversation with retired NASA astronaut Dr. Karen Nyberg as part of the ILTexas Leadership Speaker Series. The event, held at 10:00 a.m. and entirely student-run, was streamed live to more than 700 students statewide.

Dr. Nyberg, who spent over 180 days in space during her career with NASA, shared her experiences aboard the International Space Station and spoke on the critical role of leadership both in space and on Earth. She emphasized the importance of resilience, teamwork, and global collaboration in today's interconnected world.
