International Leadership of Texas is proud to share that two of it’s Marine Corps JROTC programs – ILTexas Garland High School and ILTexas Keller-Saginaw High School – have earned the Naval Honor School Designation, which is presented to the top 20% in the nation.
This will be the ILTexas Garland High Schools third year receiving the designation, and ILTexas Keller-Saginaw High Schools first year.
LtCol Chris Fears and SgtMaj Cully at ILTexas Garland High School and Master Sergeant Nate Lacey and Gunnery Sergeant Ron Brownlow at ILTexas Keller-Saginaw High School have poured into their program, its cadets, and families to create noteworthy programs resulting in great opportunities for their cadets to lead, develop, and become citizens of character.
This designation allows these schools to nominate six cadets to the Naval Academy, three to the United States Air Force Academy, and three to West Point.
ILTexas currently has more than 1250 students enrolled in JROTC across seven campuses. This is a 28% enrollment rate, nearly three times the USMC standard of 10%, making it the largest JROTC program in the United States.
Please join us in congratulating the programs at ILTexas Garland High School and ILTexas Keller-Saginaw High School on this incredible accomplishment!
